Artworks

In 2025 I attended two oil painting courses and since then I have been experimenting in building confidence with this medium. Tattooing is so controlled with the goal of perfectionism, and the artistry can feel lost hidden behind iPad designs and stencils. It has become important to me to have this balance with different expressions to build my confidence as an artist.

Two highlands tattoo artists, Sorcha Elspeth and Barra Badlands are exploring the idea of tattoo events in side art galleries, gardens and museums. They are introducing people to tattoos through a different lens, as the ancient craft that it is and as a historic art which explores and reflects people and their environment throughout time. Interacting with a museum or gallery’s archive is a way to inspire people to add to their body art as though they are a curator of their own story.

Collaborations

In 2025 I did my first jewellery collaboration with a fellow female boater and close friend Hayley, also known as The Floating Jeweller. Everything Hayley makes is handcrafted from a workshop aboard her narrowboat as she cruises the rivers and canals, drawing inspiration from the surrounding nature.

We created the Three Hares Pendant to celebrate the Summer Solstice. An ancient symbol of three interlinked hares in one sacred, eternal dance. Our intention with this pendant was for it to act as a statement piece which felt like ceremonial jewellery, a chunk of treasure which also acted as a quiet reminder of the deeper threads that connects us all with the infinite turning of the wheel in nature’s cycles and the transformative power of three.
We released the pendant with three variations of gem stone collections, The Triple Goddess, hand carved into chunky solid silver; Maiden, Mother, Crone, that glint and reflect to honor these three important phases of life. We had so much fun filming and story telling for this piece. You can watch the video we shot on Summer Solstice together here and here.
