If I had to choose a favourite category it would be this one. Special objects that carry so much history and weight of sentiment. Whether it’s an item found on your grandparent's mantlepiece or an ancient relic lit up behind glass in a museum’s archive, these pieces always look beautifully unexpected when curated as part of a tattoo collection. Some people bring me a personal token like a vintage pair of binoculars or ask me to create treasures like the Alfred Jewel, a Stone Age piece of flint and Celtic coins. Humans have adorned their bodies to express identity for millennia and we continue to curate our own living archive on skin.
