Moon, Sun and Stars

The moon, sun and stars enchant so many of us. The moon’s reflection in water, the way she casts a cool, mystical light by night, and the emotional, mental and physical ways she pulls at all living beings. The twinkling stars and sparkles are timeless, pretty and subtle, often carrying a meaning deeply personal to the person who wears them. The sun, too, has been revered throughout history as a source of life, warmth and renewal. Its return after the long winter, the turning of the seasons and the celebration of the solstices have held deep significance in pagan traditions for centuries.

I particularly love the celestial imagery found throughout history, from the ornate suns and moons of medieval manuscripts to the romantic, expressive illustrations of the Victorian era.
